A medical ventilator is a device designed to provide mechanical ventilation to a patient. Ventilators are chiefly used in intensive care medicine, home care, and emergency medicine (as standalone units) and in anesthesia (as a component of an anesthesia machine).

Nine Inch TFT display device displays the mechanism of the Ventilator unit with various modes and their corresponding alarm and history values. The functionality of the unit is to plot the pressure, inhalation, Exhalation values in the graph dynamically from the human body. The various information that is to be displayed are

• Types of modes
• Ventilator settings
• Alarm indication with min & max values
• History of data
• Corresponding modes.
• Ventilator Values.

Technical Specification:

The application need a TFT-LCD driver and a controller which supports more memory. So the i.MX MC9328MXL controller with ARM9 core was chosen. This is a system on chip (SoC) IC, which contains inbuilt LCD Driver. The target board used is i.MXL LiteLiteKit (CSB536FS CPU Module along with the companion CSB935FS Breakout Board) was designed and developed by Cogent Computer Systems, Inc. as a highly integrated Freescale

MC9328MXL Development LiteKit . The major features of the MC9328MXL Development LiteKit are as follows:

• 200Mhz Freescale MC9328MXL CPU with 16K I-Cache and 16K D-Cache
• 64Mbyte 32-Bit Wide SDRAM
